Cottage Garden Cats

NFDC 5 Star Licensed Boarding Cattery

About Us

Cottage Garden Cats is a rural cattery based in South Sway, near Lymington, in the New Forest. We are licensed by the New Forest District Council and rated as a 5 STAR cattery and have been trading for over 20 years. After the retirement of the founders of Cottage Garden in 2003 it was bought by Alyson Hall who has managed the cattery for the last seventeen years.

Here at Cottage Garden we offer a quality service to our guests and as a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

Our staff are professional cat carers who are also more than happy to give your pet cuddles as well as any medication or grooming requirements they may have.

We are very lucky to have the opportunity to get to know our customers over many years from kittens to oldies, and more importantly get to know their individual foibles, allowing us to tailor our guests' environment and feeding habits just for him or her and more importantly note any changes in health and well being that may be missed at home, when your cat is "out and about".

Our cat chalets are custom built, with chalets able to accommodate from one to five cats from the same household. Each chalet has an indoor heated living area and an outdoor "patio" overlooking the ponds, dove cots and gardens.

All chalets lead into a safety corridor for security. We have a separate kitchen for preparing meals and individual cleaning utensils for each chalet.

We also have a "family block" where up to five cats from one family can be housed together, as well as isolation facilities in case of illness.

All cats in our care must be up to date with their inoculations and proof of this must be seen before the cat can be accepted for boarding. We also ask that cats are treated for worms and fleas before they come to stay.
